Project Description

Two story addition and gymnasium. Ben Franklin Academy approached Intergroup to help with expanding their STEAM programs and to add an athletic gymnasium. The STEAM programs are housed in two science rooms, a technology lab, and a new art classroom. The gym contains a full middle school sized basketball court, volleyball court and a raised stage for theatrical performances, complete with theatre lighting, curtains, and sound system.

Client Profile

Ben Franklin Academy (BFA) is “The STEAM School of Choice” in Douglas County, Colorado. BFA is a kindergarten through eighth grade public, charter school that combines a challenging, sequenced curriculum with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) as well as character education. The mission of BFA “is to develop young adults with character like America’s founding Renaissance man, Benjamin Franklin: well-read, scientifically curious, and civically engaged.”
